that summer

Post by saw » February 17th, 2013, 4:01 pm

I touched you
repeatedly
during that wet hot season
that followed my spring of discontent

the window fan whirred
a spinning voyeur
that rumbled into daylight
and we did it again

and it felt natural
same as breathing
and breath
can be so exciting

especially when you think
of the alternative
the anti-breath
those other days of nothing

not a hint of the fire
that stretched it's limbs high and hot
that same fire....
that melted the links of chain
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---
