the wiz

Post by constantine » December 6th, 2008, 10:52 am

keep waiting for the wisdom
but it ain't gonna happen
it took five decades
to get this foolish
its been my life's work
at school, i'm an artifact
an escapee from the reliquary
odd man, over and out
but i'm hip, i tell them
but they don't believe me
i'm the wizard - i'm dr. strange
ignore the old man behind the curtain
he's a figment of his imagination
call him sir and break his tin heart
he'll be dead when you're his age anyway

you got me while I was editing

well on the subject of settling for older women
what makes us think that they would settle for us.

They are hip to our tricks.
They just might prefer a boy toy.

What exactly do you mean be an "older woman"? Older than who? Older than what?

I like your poem, Dino. Had to read it 3 times. "i'm an artifact" ... great line. "an escapee from the reliquary" ... had to look up reliquary. But you're not old. You're a young man.

My first husband is 9 years younger than me. My second ex-husband is 6 years younger than me. Or something close to that. I guess I was an "older woman" to them? All my life, I only dated one man who was older than me. All the men I've dated or married have been younger. Considerably. I'd like to find an "older man" or to be someone's "older woman" or "younger woman." Either way. I enjoy being a woman. Nobody knew my ex-husbands were younger than me. Except my ex-husbands. lol

And no, the marriages ending had nothing to do with age. We just decided it wasn't working any more.

interesting read. I can't relate though. I don't have that "ageist" thing... I think age brings greatness and fuck those who can't see that!

as for older women.... no comment

except... I like :)

There is no certain definition of age. There is no certain age of definition either, as I feel compelled to define by my sponsors.
