The question remains
what the hell is it about Illinois?

That gives us our best and worst politicians.

I don't know. Neither does the electorate of Illinois.

Obama's Push For Ethics Bill Helped Snag Illinois Governor. Neocons Now Find Scripture Firmly Planted In The Way of Their Talking Point Lies.

Poor Mr. Limbaugh. He's going to be apoplectic. He and the right wing talking points idiots have it all worked out that Obama is involved with Blagojevich's corruption. Luckily they avoid newspapers unless they can slice and dice something out of an article that serves their own purpose. They really hate messing up their story with actual facts. I've already heard the solidified right wing story that Obama was Blagojevich's wing man. And, in fact, you can see the result of Obama's concern for real ethics reform was to flush out a real crook.

It is a good job being a pundit. Nobody holds you accountable when you are wrong.

Still I wonder how the hell could the electorate in Illinois elect someone with a haircut like Blagojevich's.

What the hell kind of name is that anyway? Sounds like he comes from Transylvania. Blag the Impaler.

Of course he is still innocent until proven but even so

Blag the Impaler. That's a good one! Made me chuckle.

I haven't a clue as to where that name came from. Polish? (not polish...) PO-lish, i.e Poland. They generally have names that common folks can't pronounce. (blag-go-ya-vitch... i think that's how the news folks pronounce it). could be Lithuanian... or some Baltic State like that.

truck, if you're really an asshole, let someone else make that judgment call, not you.

an old friend from many, many moons ago told me, after i mentioned that i thought i was going crazy, "if you're really crazy some will let you know. until then don't fucking worry about it." made sense to me. still does today. probably will tomorrow. you know?

Maybe it is because I am a tripper. I cannot judge another without judging myself, I got to see the beam in my own eye.

The worst part of all this is that by the time it all blows over I will know how to spell Blagojevich's name.

You just reminded me of a joke about polish remover.
The Polish guy who thought his wife was trying to get rid of him because he found her bottle of ...

I wonder what singlemalt thinks about all this? Image

Rush eats 28 ounce medium-rare Porterhouse steaks for dessert and drinks gasoline straight, no chaser, and farts photochemical smog. Other than that he's cool.
