a darker shade of black

Einstein told me there would be days like this
an echo from remote consciousness
spooky action at a distance
seriousness business
not for the likes me
not no more
Freud died for my sins

picking my battles
one out of every three jews in the world was murdered in the twentieth century.
but everyone has appologized
so it is just water under the bridge
except for the nazi gold hoarded in swiss bank accounts
dreck from the teeth of corpses

I sit on my hands
while effete snobs
snicker about
how nice the slaves
had it on those plantations
in dear old dixie

and the young .... woman in chicago
the single mom with the weight of the world
on her shoulders
lady madona
with a baby at her breast
talks about the black holocaust
And Nancy Pelosi wants to honor
the armenian holocaust
a hundred years later

I am drunk and dirty dont you know
And I want to kick some ass

you busy tonight amigo?

Freud died for my sins
Took a sip
was not hemlock
but just as quick.

who the heck is john edwards and what does he have to do with freud's suicide

inquiring minds.
The Question of God . Two Different Lives . The Life of Sigmund ...Though Freud committed suicide in 1939 by a lethal dose of morphine, his influence continued to spread as the field of psychology evolved. ...

i got it now
Do you?
I wasn't sure I got it.

That old man dying of cancer of the jaw (because sometimes a cigar is just a cigar) I forgot how many operations he had, he refused any pain meds because he wanted to leave his mind clear for his work. But in 1939 he asked his doctor for the hot shot. Thinking about what he saw coming down on Europe I wonder if it was the pain that did him in or the despair.
Where is mousey1 when we need her jim
Please for give the snappy reply
I needed to be angry at somebody
But now I feel like Judas

I like this quote from Victor Frankl a lot
There is no need to feel ashamed of existential despair because of the assumption that it is an emotional disease, for it is not a neurotic symptom but a human achievement and accomplishment. Above all, it is a manifestation of intellectual sincerity and honesty.
I know little about him, except they say he coined the term "existential"

You my favorite Zen kook
I learned the value of despair from you

I had a lot of autonomy as a child
But I am damn sure going to lose it as an adult.
I am one step from using a walker.

Cries and whispers,
fleeing down your canyons,
while you climb your way
up the walls of
destiny's residue.

I have not seen you for months it seems
I hope you are doing ok.

I was looking for a quote by Vicktor Frankl when I found this thread.
Been over a year now since you replied to it but I hope it is not too late to thank you for your kind words and I wish you a good holiday. Which ever one you enjoy the most.
