the painting as symbol logic

Post by sweetwater » January 12th, 2009, 1:28 pm

discussion of theoretical spirit, in which she
presents symbol-making as an act of the imagination or art that must be
surpassed by abstract thought, or to her consideration of the symbolic
form of art, which she describes as the mere precursor to art's ideal
form. _ Hegel (transcribed to the feminine)

It exists as a bi-reference, referencing the painting as objectivity in construct (as painting) and a relative-objectivity in related points of reference.
The related points of reference exist as a visual experience or as symbology. It references (subjectively) colour, line and its use of space to create a subjective depth of focus or field. It is visually stunning and surprisingly pastel and full of light, and how it complexes and states the personality of author/artist as paradoxical, abstract and feminine.
