New Day
It's cold outside and I'm not feeling well
there is sickness in the body politic
So, I've decided to park myself in front of the television for the next four days and drench myself in patriotism and hope and promise.
For all my cynicism and contrariness, I am a very patriotic person and we are about to witness one of our nation's proudest moments.
As Obama makes his triumphal entrance into the Capitol and the pomp is pumping and the circumstances are thrilling, this feels more like New Year's or more accurately a New Day.
I already found myself with tears running down my cheeks while listening to Obama's speech in Philly as he began his train ride.
It feels like Christmas, A New Day.
A New Day.

Cold? cold? ha! I just checked weather.com. It's 51 degrees in Dallas. That would be a veritable heat wave here! I'd be outside preparing my spring garden beds!
heh
yeah, i've got Inauguration off as a "paid" holiday... gonna sit in front of the TV all day and witness it. (I quoted "paid" 'cause who knows when I'll get paid for it... sighhh)
Oh happy day! Bush will be gone! The country (and possibly the entire world) has experienced 8 years of depression en masse (i mean the mental kind).
Obama has a lot to handle, that's for sure.... but I believe in him... i trust him... I adore him actually.... I'd marry him if he was single.. haha... but honestly, it's a good thing for him Michelle got to him first 'cause if he and I had gotten together, his association with me would have probably ruined his career.

Barack smokes. Probably outside though.
wow, the temp went up 20 degrees? lucky you! It's 17 degrees here... brrrrr ... going out to confront it shortly. God created gloves for a reason. And anti-freeze.
I don't think anybody thinks he's a magician, btw. He's got a huge mess on his hands and will be depending on teamwork to try to straighten it out.
Side note - I'd love to work for this administration. First time in my life I ever wanted to work for the government.

they used to stay home. we drink toghether now and raise the glasses for obama. its weird shit. the optimism is radiating from their eyes!

PE Obama got the 350 billion in tarp money. Sounds like enough for every American home owner to get a second chance. Bush said he requested it for Obama. But I don't trust the son of a bush. He still got forty eight hours left to give more away to the fat cats.
If Obama don't stop the foreclosures I will be disappointed in him.
Seventy degrees and sunshine
what a day
Got out in the country away from this ubran ghetto
I was in paradise on a two lane black top Texas farm to market road.
Ok bring them home, but it would not be a bad thing if they still had homes to come home to. Military families losing out to foreclosure Phil and his band of robber barons. And bring the troops home, Barack. Otherwise you'll make it onto my shit list just like the last guy. So there.
