It was nothing but a brush of dust,
a quick ice trick, fickle as
a lover's glance. I ventured out,
took a chance, arrived uneventfully.
No fear here. It was a mere hallucination.

i actually edited it and expanded upon it to create a series of 5 ... this piece became #1 but it's different now

the short version got lost in the long one. not that it wasn't all brilliant, just...i like this verse being it's own thing.

standing alone nicely...but



none of my hallucinations were" mere",
so I don't get that part completely
many is a word

A chimera in the mind's eye. I often wonder if those prone to hallucinations, not drug induced, would be more at ease, if they didn't have to worry about it. :)
