I watch LOST because I still haven't figured it out. Usually I've got a show or movie figured out a good fifteen minutes forward, at least, from where I'm watching it. The easy ones I know how it will end almost from the beginning. LOST I have no idea. Just like
The Sixth Sense and
Vanilla Sky. I didn't know Bruce Willis was dead until
he knew he was dead. Just as the producers wanted. I call this
very good craft. And I have utmost respect for it.
Other shows I watch are: Survivor (you can learn loads about human behavior watching Survivor, bearing in mind it's edited with the aim of manipulating your thinking); Amazing Race (same as Survivor); Heroes (for arcane reasons I won't mention); NOVA (have since I was six); Frontline (most objective journalism, in my opinion); Bill Moyers (because he has balls, he rocks, and he gives me hope); McLaughlin Group (my wife calls this show The Yelling People

); CSI (the original only); and occasionally I'll watch Wife Swap, just because it's sort of interesting how the producers select people from widely disparate lifestyles in an effort to show each family how the other half lives, and seems to succeed most of the time).
Why do you ask?
Peace,
Barry
