It's not a question of want,
I have to make you understand.
Doesn't matter where you come from
or even the nature of your being,
all life is short and sacred.

What can I tell you about my friend Oscar?
His gentle nature, almost
to the point of timidity, as if
harboring pain, apprehension
of another time and another place,
concealing it well, but speaking still
through his large and beautiful eyes
that withold, but in doing so tell all -
more than I once thought
or, perhaps, could ever imagine.
Kind and gentle, dearest of friends
so few , these
I could count on one hand
lucky man that I am...
I could speak of his grace and agility,
his love of the outdoors,
one almost had to track him down - to seduce him
from his zealous and few
moments in the sun, his solitary
excursions under the moon, perhaps
it was a dearer friend than I,
who knew him well.
He bore his sufferings with fortitude
and when he died... and when he died,
I could not stand even the mercy of God,
who took his son
so that a man might have a better soul.
My dear friend and noble cat,
Oscar.

He was quite the myth,
wasn't he?

Quite a relationship there, I see. It's a sad thing, I know. I had lost a dear cat too, years ago...she stuck around for 13 years though, then disappeared one day. Probably best for me that way. Best wishes.
