Anybody feeling a nagging anxiety about tommorrow and or the end of the month "election" in Iraq?

I sure do.

I got this...."watch my back", lay low, trepidation going on.

It's hard not to think about it. Since August, they've been stopping my train just before it gets downtown to do a security check, I assume because it goes under/near several govt. buildings, so I am reminded of it every day, though I usually don't think about it, except when I do.

If you really want to freak yourself out, pick up the recent issue of the Atlantic Monthly, where Richard Clarke imagines a Professor in 2011 addressing a conference on the War on Terror, running off an imaginary but plausible litany of failures starting with September 11. Vegas Casino bombings, shopping mall attacks, cyberterror.

I hate these kind of scare-the-shit-out-of-you tactics that are usually reserved for Republican use, but the article is really sobering.
