Av-er-age---lyric

Post by Lightning Rod » March 18th, 2009, 1:48 pm

I have decided
I have made the choice
to be av-er-age, av-er-age

I've been extraordinary
but I have decided
to be or-di-nary, or-di-nary

they called me a genius,
I amazed them all, but now I want to be
av-er-age, just or-di-nary

I could be a plumber or a carpenter
just work with my hands
go home at night and sleep
and not cope with the demands

of being extraordinary, I want to be
av-er-age, just av-er-age
the golden mean
nothing special, everyman
mow the lawn and keep it green

Just an av-er-age Joe
what the hell do I know?
don't hold me responsible
for all the world's woes
cuz I'm av-er-age, just av-er-age

it's an easier job to be av-er-age
sea-level pedestrian,
don't need the peaks and valleys
a mainstreet kinda guy,
no avenues or alleys for me..eeee

I have decided
I have made the choice
to be av-er-age, av-er-age...etc.
"These words don't make me a poet, these Eyes make me a poet."

Yes. Just avoid the cameras, I guess. Even Joe the Plumber was once average.

it's a romance

Imaginary musical. Never tried one. Don't think I could pull it off. I like that part about sea level pedestrian and peaks and valleys. Seems a bit like wisdom accumulation itself, if such a thing exists... ha.
