Calisthenics for the Brain

Post by saw » April 17th, 2009, 11:00 am

the secret to life, that we all
search for in some way or another,
at some point in time
is in movement, yes movement,
movement of bones and muscle,
movement of tendon and ligament,
but more significantly in
animation of thought, that sacred
force that enables anyone
to be the artist of their own destiny.

the mind begs us to be taken
like the faithful family dog
to the park to be let off the leash,
for the rejuvenating motion
of chasing spinning frisbees
of our imagination's potential,
excited, panting for that wonderful
moment when we time our jump
perfectly, leap off the ground
and catch that disc of creativity

in our teeth, and run wild
in an open field of limitless possibility.
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

this little piece doesn't need a clever answer at all,
just a simple but meaningful and sincere, "thank you"
that's about all i can muster up after two readings.
