My experience with this type of thing (remembering previous cabaradio shows) is that it takes a lot of work to plan it, *many* will say they want to come, not very many will actually be able to make it (which is OK 'cause the few who *do* show up will have a great time!)

But unless there's a free place to stay, most will not show. Poets don't have any money. All the people who showed up for our cabaradio shows stayed at my house. We can dream.... yeah..... but making it happen will be another story.

Not to be negative or anything.... just saying, we did the show 3x and invited the whole community whether they wanted to actually be in the show or simply show up to watch it and hang out and enjoy each other's company. 3x taught me a little bit.

Maybe we could think of camping or something. Camping is relatively inexpensive.

My vote is to get together during the spring or summer. Warm weather agrees with me. Plus, I never have time off in the fall or winter, only in the summer.

If this actually happens, I'll go for sure! Count on it!

Why does it have to be a production?

I was just thinking about a small group of friends getting together for kicks.
Just to have fun, not to put on a show for anyone else but ourselves.

No, it doesn't have to be a production at all!

The audience was also invited to the Cabaradio show, not just the performers. That's what I'm saying. We invited the entire community to come SEE the show and to hang out and be together.

It was the only example I had of trying to get the Studio Eight people together. That's why I mentioned it.

......

Camping in the spring, summer or fall would be cool! Or maybe rent a cabin or something.

Only problem I can see is how we are going to get you and your baby grand piano there.

That was another dumb joke.

I imagine us all together at a cozy little piano bar.
