There are coyote skulls here in the closet. They remind me of me at different whens. The moon is greater than half full while all this is happening and I'm not sure that's a good sign in this case.

The voices in the next room are not a steamboat on its way
up the Mississippi in the last century. But they could be.

Sometimes I begin things just to end up leaving them behind. But then again how do you tell direction in this place? It certainly can't be by compass alone.

This cigarette I'm smoking right now, someday I will curse it.

I bleed but I'm not a sentimentalist so when I say I remember your lips on me I've said I remember the good.

I know where a blue Indian is. Not out in the desert being one with rocks & sand but standing on the small ledge over my stove. Having hunted all his buffalo now he's ready for a cozy fire & a snuggle.

I wonder about that word snuggle. I mean it actually exists.

Snuggle. Did ya ever hear such a warm word ?

Better than alligator. Alligator is not a warm word. Completely anti - snuggle. Alligator is the shock troops of the Anti - Snuggle.

Anyways ...

Having been an alligator in my younger years, I can attest to what you've written here, el mingo. I was definitely a shock trooper whenever snuggles approached. Poor snuggles didn't understand, but then who could if they weren't alligator?

Some time passed and it was an early spring morning... the gentle cooing of a dove awakened me from my deep slumber. I went to scratch my alligator skin, something that was habitual with me every morning, spring or not. The shock of it all... this old alligator shock trooper was no longer what I had been. Warm and soft, tender and o so comfortable to the touch, I quickly embraced my new existence - snuggles. Despite my age and knowledge of the world, I still snuggle with life as if it were yesterday... I'd highly recommend it to any alligator who is in any way not comfortable with their skin.

Granddaddy operated a postal machine gun nest on route 22. He retired on a heart attack then spent the rest of his life refinishing antique furniture to sell to old women with fat purses. He was a gangster that way. But very good with his hands.

Johnny Depp could not play my grandfather in a movie. I cannot even imagine Johnny Depp in my grandfather's garage a piece of wood in one hand & sandpaper in the other, the workbench scattered with small nails, glue, & clamps.

Just can't imagine it. Of course the lady in my house has no problem whatsoever imagining Johnny Depp anywhere anytime anyhow.

Johnny Depp is a class act in any movie I've ever been privy to watch. I haven't seen them all... not by a long shot. He movies quite a bit. Making the $$$ while he's an item. Doesn't watch his own movies, though, he said to Dave Letterman. He has a villa in France. I'd like to have a villa in France. I'll bet my villa would smell like vanilla if I wanted it to. You need lots of $$$ to live in a villa that smelled like vanilla in France. Something I don't have. But I sure can dream like a sum'bitch when I got a notion to. There's no upkeep or taxes on dreams.

It is a good thing there are no taxes on dreams. I'd be paying 24/7.

I can't get my head around gunslingermetaphors
anymore

but I think I catch your drift

I see guitar slingers

I sure would like to get rhythm

I suppose I see more power in music than I do in guns.

But I am certified by my selective service board back in mobtown.

yes. i'd like to snuggle with johny depp. in his vanilla villa. god, yes! but then i'd have to go back & capitalize the N...sNuggle...and maybe the L...sNuggLe...no that looks funny, but keep the feeling behind the L because it makes me grin...like spooning while picking flowers in the future & i don't mind scratching backs either. or eating peanut butter and jam crackers (try to say "haPpy biRthDay" with a mouthful of that! you have to read betWeen the lines...but not 2too much, okay) i prefer strawberry cream cheese on grahaM crackers though.
eye see with my little i a see through gecko on a brick wall and hollywood starlets swimming in poWder bLue...and strangely, "nuts to butts"...in faSt forward! warning: doN't butter yer nuts...err...

kindly pick your favorite reply to the above:

a) she curtsies all ladylike and proper (because it is the polite thing to do)

b) "what do you mean?" she asks innocently while batting her eyelashes (because she likes to flirt. plus she's learned that flirting can make people say things and she likes when people say things.)

c) she stares thoughtfully into space still contemplating the word "ephemeral" (because old words are sometimes new to her. and it might make her look indifferent and/or intelligent [note: read cool, not spacey] because what do you say to a compliment like that?)

d) she promptly fixes herself a piece of peanut butter and strawberry jam wholegrain toast with fresh strawberries on the side (because she's hungry and because it seems to be a most desirable snack right now... diets can be so boring)

and just for the fun of it
e)
f) :P
g)

(thank you kindly mr. mingo  :P  )

i promise i'm not really batty...although i do bat my eyelashes ever so slowly sometimes. and sometimes i'm a vampire feeding & i can't get enough. and while you focus on all that, i'll hide my gratitude for your generosity of both a place to speak mj freely & a very sweet compliment right underneath your nose :P
