<center>do not
allow
things
to
fall
unless
you
intend
to catch

i admire your visual sense - this and other ones like black and white, i believe. they look elegant and read well.

You can just picture cupped hands poised beneath the falling them in this one...

I am just saying

Sometimes it is better to let it fall
and run like hell.

No saying really
But you
Left me with more question than answer
but maybe that was your intention.

i can be very clumsy. my stepdad used to call me the little elephant. i broke a lot of my mothers wine glasses...other things too, but specially wine glasses. once i let a whole tray of them fall. i always felt so awful afterwards, because i didn't mean to break them and for some reason i expected there to be hell, maybe the death sentence (such a drama queen i am :P ). i'd see my mom's face freeze with horror and disappointment but then she'd quickly cover it up with a fake smile and say in a fake very bright voice...never mind, it's just earthly things. i still felt awful.

...and sometimes it's good to break something, sweep it up and throw it away. both physical and imaginary things...it can be very therapeutic.

oh ...i just remembered. a cleaning lady at my student house once broke a blue flower vase i had. she left me a note saying " i so sorry i break your beautiful thing." it made me smile for some reason.

Did your awful feeling leave you in time to clean up the mess? The sound of glass shattering can be the most horrendous of sounds if one is not expecting it but if we see the glass falling we may be able to prepare for its tinkling across the floor as it erupts into hundreds of shards... the final crescendo of the glass. Earthly things, indeed!

Thx for the snippet, mj. Enjoyed! ;)

oh yeah...you break it, you cleanit up. haha.

thanks to you, cecil, i'm remembering all sorts of things to do with breaking glass today  ...when we were teenagers, my brother had a billy joel album (glass houses, i think). the first song started with glass breaking. he played this prank on my mom where he'd turn the volume way up for that part, then turn it off and she'd come storming into the room to see what broke. such a bad boy! 8)
