Pain Pill addicts
How anybody gets addicted to this CRAP is beyond me.
Had some dental work done and they prescribed me pain pills. I've been nauseous for two days. I won't describe it further. I'll spare you.
All I can say is how in the hell can anybody LIKE this shit? I hate this stuff!!!!!!
I'm going to stop taking them. I'd rather deal with the pain.

I couldn't even fathom drinking a drink right now. I'm soooo sick.
They first gave me the vicodin and it made me sick... so i called them and told them and they prescribed the demerol... which was a life saver when i was in labor and didn't make me sick... so i said ok... but that's made me sick, too.... I can't tolerate either of them. And they told me not to take advil because it thins the blood.
Anyway, thanks for listening to me spill my personal problems. I'm so ill.
I just can't imagine anybody liking this crap enough to take enough of it to get addicted to it.
going back to my tomb.... er, i mean, my room.
gnight jack.. thanks for the conversation.

good morning, doreen! hope you are feeling better today!!!!!
(no idea about the drugs you are talking about in myself!: the only pain killer I´ve ever took (at the moment) was ibuprofeno! I guess I didn´t have already big pains or/and I´m a little anti-pharmakon or/and a bit masoquist!!!!!

I actually kind of like Vicodin. Never had Demerol. My wife can't tolerate any of the opiates or their derivatives, or even the synthetic substitutes. Her body reacts like you describe, Doreen. Once she had a kidney stone, and at the hospital they told me she was on a morphine IV, and I'm thinking, "Whoa, wonder what that's like." When they took me into the treatment room she was puking her guts out into a pan. She said it was like bedspins when you're drunk. Does not sound fun. Vicodin for me is not bad. When my back's acting up it's the only thing that'll arrest the pain cycle so I can relax all those tensed up muscles down there around L4 and L5 and let the swelling go down. And the buzz ain't so bad either. Once someone gave me a Valium and I took it one night after work. It was amazing. My mind slowed down and all my thoughts lined up in an orderly fashion and I was able to work out a huge number of stresses in about two three hours of thinking things through. I can totally understand why millions got strung out on that stuff. It was great. So just remember, Doreen. Your experience is not the only experience of these things. And be glad that for you it was not a good one.
Peace,
Barry
PS: Glad you're feeling better.

awww, poor doreen...here's a very late hug. i'm glad you feel better.
i remember when i had to get a rootcanal about 3 years ago (because the old filling was collapsing and my childhood dentist apparently drilled too deep for them to salvage the tooth). i had to wait 2 weeks for an appointment at my dentist and another 2 weeks for an appointment to get the rootcanal. 4 weeks of paiN (the recovery afterwards was a breeze compared to that). i had to take so many painpills, my feet swelled up and i even got hives in my face after switching to a different kind. (vicodin was somewhere in the mix) after that i just had to take it like a man. fun times! haha

Indeed. Drugs, especially painkillers, the new opiate being fed to the masses. As i adjudicate disability cases, it's amazing to me the pattern, Dr.'s give this stuff out like candy, patients get addicted, want to remain disabled for good. Really it's that simple. But don't think they are ever going to want to see that light.
We don't need this, fact it's killing us. ..but the drug companies need it.
So glad Doreen that you didn't fall into the trap/pattern.
We need to legalize cannibus. It works, it's safe, and it 's non addictive.
