What has Jack Kerouac Done for Me lately?

Post by stilltrucking » July 12th, 2009, 6:34 pm

Today I have decided to go insane.

I want to serve as an example of a putz who got everything he had coming.

I got no complaints about women at all.

Work while you have the light. Be one of wise virgins who have oil for their lamps. The Devil prowls around roaring like a lion looking for someone to devour. Keep the coffee coming.
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

Do you believe in progress?

before good and evil
but after wisdom

If not for the Catholic Church there would not be any good horror movies.

My vanity is eating me alive, and the fatter I get.

Push come to shove
pain to pleasure
ain't living long like this
going to move on I think
I got to comfortable here.

gone to the country
I need to see the sky once in a while

I don't believe in progress. I don't believe in spaghetti either but I will eat it.

I'll be eating my vanity 'til I die. I think because there are too many loons in my pond. I don't think any of those old Japanese mountain hermits had this many loons.

First woman I ever had
when we discovered sex
we jumped in together

Yes I once had romantically tipped visions of being a lineman for the county. They persisted for some time. Even now one can call me away.
All in a moment.

Earlier in the post I was going to say something about the Catholic Church. Now I don't remember what it was. As I was trying to recollect it just now somehow it got itself tangled up in women. All that's left of it now is coming home & shutting the windows to cut the cold.

Shove comes to pain
as push is to pleasure
live long &
be comfortable

Gotta move along myself, Jack. Don't go puttin' no fetishes in no box
to bury at no crossroads. Don't go callin' no demon. And here's to hoping the sky was enough.

I was just wondering why you mentioned the devil. First thing that came to mind was all those horror flicks.

I have not seen the night sky in weeks
There are ten of us here in this senior citizen's housing complex
nine old women and one old man

they got this place lit up like a football stadium at night.
the old ladies don't like the darkness
they don' miss seeing the stars.
So sit out on my veranda and look at the grass. And imagine life beneath it.

all is well mingo
we all got our crosses to bear
