Anybody watchin Iran?

Post by hester_prynne » June 21st, 2009, 2:45 pm

I find the election revolution in Iran to be fascinating. I can't help but wonder what would have happened if we had done this when Bush was reelected, wonder in fact, why we didn't. I mean, are we a bunch of pussies?

hester le prynne,
i don't know what ya mean, why didn't we do this before?

i have known itranians for quite a while
they are an intellectual people with a large component ogmedeival fundamentalists,
kind a like america

it makes me hoperful that if the basic emerging instinct is for democracy, respect for humanity, especially the emerging culture

hhow'd ya like t be in a mosque with 5000 men?

i'd rather be in the street with a mixed population

"it makes me hopeful that if the basic emerging instinct is for democracy, respect for humanity, especially the emerging culture "

ME TOO!
I just wonder if people in America would ever protest like they are protesting in Iran right now. We didn't when Bush cheated his win and over rode the voices of the people he was working for, meaning us.

Power to the people! Time for those representing us to move away from their own self interests and start working for the bigger picture. It's not a bad thing to want, not a bad thing to stand up for in protest. Hell, it's self preservation at this point, unfortunately....

Maybe i'm missing the point.

now i know what you mean
i know what you mean

well our protest dynamic was different
but we had a lot of big crowds protesting the vietnam war
also a lot of smaller crowds
and i was also in some latter day demonstrationsincluding a big one just before the iraq war started

as far as bush stealing the first term election from gore
well
bush was not known for who he is as a neo-con artist
when the elections results came down
including sir albert
there was no mass protest
because at that time the differences between the repukes
and the dumbocrats was not enough to make mass demonstrations doeable

but fer instance,
if mccain had claimed victory
and the election was controlled by an authoritarian state,
instead of by a weasling neurotic one,
we would have had mass demos.

iran had a strong demarcation between choices
and the obvious elections rigging suspicions are tantamount
to assininity and the iranian greens are well aware that self preservation
of any chance at decency and humanitarian enlightenment requires more and more absolute resistance to the state, ma'am

what point are you missing ms :?: 8)

This is a re-post. I deleted it because I get bored with reading my opinions. Which seem like a tape recording of sound bytes from the news. I am so media mediated I can't stand it.

as a weaseling neurotic I resents that remark.
good copy jimbo

I don't know but I think----
It is apples and oranges
they got their way we got ours.

Obama says we want to spread american values. Are our values worth spreading anymore?

I think Obama being plenty shrewd in dealing with the protests in Iran. Those centrifuges are still going to be spinning out Plutonium no matter which side wins.

I saw McCain on the talking head Sunday morning news . I could not listen to him. Maybe he made a lot of sense, he was saying Obama handling it all wrong (The Iran Situation).

I suppose that is the senators job to advise and consent on foreign policy but I got nauseous trying to listen so I changed channels.

RE: McCain

I think this cartoon says it very well.

Sorry about the ramble Hester. I been keeping my eye on a bill moving through congress that would mandate a paper trail for electronic voting machines. I worry about the system we got now.

Not sure what I would do if an election here got stolen by out right cheating.

Not to say an election has never been stolen by fraud before... 1960 for example.

Wow, good job Jimbo, I truly enjoyed listening to Dr. Roberts and you. Like Dr. Roberts, I think there is alot of lobbying going on against alternative medicines and it is heartbreaking that the media allows itself to be bought out in favor of the big drug co's who want to erradicate it due to their own greed. In fact you might want to look into codus alimentarius which is a very troubling subject that the media is avoiding, rendering us citizens in a position of not being able to even purchase alternative medicines. I'll try to find a link for you. We need to start fighting it, but how can we when the issue is being hidden from us. I've only just recently heard about it, from what I know the WTO has been given rights to what foods we can buy and their intentiion is to rule out alternative medicines and vitamins completely. In fact they say that by December of this year, you will no longer be able to purchase vitamins and alternative meds. I am not really that well informed about it, as I say I've just recently found out about it myself, like this past weekend.
Again good job. And be sure and prepare your moonwater under the full moon and drink it each month. I swear by that.....

Thanks for the heads up on supplements! I found this 3 year old speech by a TX congressman talking about the attempt by Codex (part of the UN) to further control the world.

Doesn't seem to be any current reporting as you pointed out. Would be nice to know where this stands.
