Living

Post by gmart » August 5th, 2009, 11:45 pm

Funny how life can silence you
take the air out of your lungs
take the words out of your mouth
Still your thoughts

Funny how you feel
Numb
Dumb
frustrated
The price of living is dear

Funny how, in time, you harden
the air returns, at least some
the words, the thoughts, awake
but not the same
it can never be the same
its different now

Maybe funny is the wrong word
Maybe sad "sad how life can silence you"
I feel sad
I feel funny
I feel different

living is a bitch

When traveling down a road
every bump in the road comes with you.
It's just a fact of physics.
Every bump changes the vehicle
to some small or large degree.
Hit enough bumps
and eventually the vehicle just breaks.
Unless you give it some maintanence.

Peace,
Barry

take my words
still my thoughts
I have so many
I will never miss them.

I probably don't get your poem gmart

yes the forlorn rags of old age are a bitch
but longevity has its blessings too
less words, stiller thoughts
and every breath a gift

I used to be so sure
I held so many passionate opinions

I used to be so sure
I held so many passionate opinions
Indeed... and now Now is all there is... forever.

Nice write, gmart... reflection is a worthy event when done openly.

Living has beat me
All my opinions were prerecorded
Pull the string in my back and I will play back an opinion

Sorry for the ramble gmart.
