I spent sometime wondering what it must be like to think a woman's thoughts. I thought I could when I was still a woman hater.
One of my earlies nightmares I can remember from childhood was about an underground hospital where little boys were transformed into little girls. Oedipus wrecks had nothing on me.

So "pondering the imponderable and trying to screw the inscrutable" I imagine her as the savior of Ignatius J. Riley.



If I did not have a choice and I had the chance to be reborn as another human being but I could not be a man, I would settle for being a woman. But I think I would not like to be born a Jewess. That mother of god trip is a terrible burden. Just my opinion as an umwombman. What would I know about a woman's enteric brain. I don't even have ovaries. What is surprising is how well I get along with Catholics. I wish I was not such a heretic. I would have a more active social life. Become a priest.

I watched a show about Liberia on PBS> How the "market place women" shamed Charles Tailors troops by threatening to appear naked in front of them. The worst shame in their mores for a son to see his mother naked.

I don't know why I have been so obsessed with Spartans lately. Started with something I posted to e_dog on another board.

Well I don't know if the Spartan language is dead, I think Classical Greek still survives in remote Ivory Towers here and there.
Hebrew seems to be hanging on, though some scholars call it Israeli.
