yes, knip

athletics as a business is almost as vulgar as art as a business

somehow takes the joy out of the whole thing

yes--

I deleted sorry.

the Philly Muggers vs. The New England Stranglers

though I respect athletic skills to some degree
I am so sick of thug morons
being viewed as great heroes and role models--

imagine some jokers
letting out a large cloud of like
opium smoke over the whole stadium....
don't kill 'em but sedate 'em in mass

no, lr, i don't think the commericalism cheapens it...the art, the beauty stands out in spite of it

and zozo, i despise making these guys out as heroes as well...my kids weren't raised to treat athletes as heroes, in spite of the fact thye are both athletes

that pleasure dome that cave of ice
the opium haze , yes, oh yes

yes, knip
something about the glory of the pure physical form
prowess and athleticism
the glory of the perfect move

the opium of the masses
god bless it
