my tell tale heart
beats me blue
memories

That street lamp is probably electric, but it is in the style of the old street lamps that still existed in my child hood in baltimore.

blue evenings after the lamp lighter had made his rounds, the glow of the old gas street lamps in the fog that was so thick down on the water front on Eastern Avenue.

I would like to visit that churchyard near the harbor on a foggy night listen to the fog horns and think about Dr Sax.

Wireman - I came across something while reading an article on Ikkyu. It is part of a poem attributed to him. I'm going to use part of the words of another to express something I myself have felt about you and all the writings I have read of yours over the time I have spent on this site. Ikkyu's poem fits my feelings exactly and I could do no better than this even if I had my own words :

...but life's most valuable thing
is really the fishermen's songs
Along the ... river, there's sunset & rain,
clouds & moon,
excellence beyond words,
singing night after night.
Ikkyu

skate on & keep it shakin' as long as you can cause I'm listenin' up here in the woods
I'm listenin' out on the lake shore
I'm listenin' in the fields
I'm listenin' on the back trails
I'm listening bent over at work with
a rag in my hand wiping down the urinals
and keeping the mirrors clear of fingerprints & splash
I'm listenin' in my sleep

yet i saw her cry cause she cared too much
til she knew how not to
so she laughs

baltimore orioles
camden yards
old quaker meeting hous
johns hopkins university
sends nurses into the third world

never stopped in baltimore
running wired up northeast or down southeast
zapping out west
nobody moves there usually
old town old memories old communities old friends old haunts
newcomers pass on thru looking for newcomersville

florida finally lost population
i am old local yokel now
the lure of the local
yesterdays went out with old houses torn down
my first city block in st pete
demolished thankyou
old slumlord apartment burned
reopened cheap rent with roaches
another old lady, premature aged, only 60,,
secludid she rented to men,
no ladies allowed
altho i did make a hot divorcee
in my small corner room
on a bed no bigger than a cot
now gone, new condos, upscale remodeling
old buildings once flop houses became upscale city hotels,
law offices, while
bums still panhandle and dealers stalk around
in desperation.
dr sax mmmmm haw haw, mmm,
roaming about in moonlight alleyways
reveling in urban desolation dreamscapes
i'm on a survival mission
yo ho ho an a bottle of rum om

linda singing rock my sout in the bossom of abraham
and she got a heart like a wheel

mine is like one of those old mechanical cash regesters
hit any key and up pops a woman's face
a woman's face is a rose is a woman is a rose
thinking about a college girl I met walking across campus forty seven years ago.

Me a young man with a frozen heart
she with a kind word and a smile
almost melted me
but for my vanity
she was not pretty
she had a face that will be beautiful when she is sixty.

a woman is rose is a geisha is a sister mother daughter niece lover friend and they all make me so happy to be born a man so I can apprecitate them.
and be grateful.

boy oh boy
a lot of first thoughts there
breakfast is my favorite meal too.

we keep on rocking keep on jamming
into the perpetual jam
time to GO.
hammer hammer

of a whole squad of chinese female fighter pilots
marching to their planes dressed in
flight suits designed specifically for the female form
O they are hot
those chinese female fighter pilots
in their flight suits designed specifically for the female form
how do you say yum-yum in chinese ?
