isn't funny

This is Constantine's artlog. He posted his poems in his own artlog forum for several years. He named the forum "Constantinople" and described it as "A byzantine journey through life's labyrinth."

isn't funny

Post by constantine » August 29th, 2009, 10:38 am

it's a joke
but it isn't funny
a blessing and a curse
let in a cat
get to know it
love and learn how to love
and then it is gone
it dies or runs away
things happen, they always do
and then you are alone
miserable
you know this, but
you'll do it again in a heartbeat
because loneliness compels you
because a man needs more
than just himself

because loneliness compels you
because a man needs more
than just himself
loneliness compels me to write

I am too dam lonely even for a pet.

I close that door to my little shack by the railroad tracks and I want to be alone.
And I am
Exceot for the ocassional Texas giant cockroach, my plants,
and this computer.

Even so
missing cats always bring me down
I remember every cat who ever came into my life.
Fondly

thanks for posting this here
where I can make a fool out of myself
and nobody sees but you.

I don't what's wrong with me Dino, I just don't want to take responsibility for another pet since my old dog died last year. Nothing to do with your poem. That is why I am grateful you post them here.

Orange cat November 22, 1963, with everything else that happened that day I did not need to see him laying dead in the gutter. Victim of a taxicab. If there is a hell I am sure there must be a special place for drivers who think it is funny to go out of their way to run over a cat.

i'd like to have another cat, but it does open the door to intense sorrow when they die. i don't know. i have to leave it to chance i guess. there's a lot of fuckheads out there.

Time and chance comes to everyman

I have been keeping my guard up

My sister is a cat magnet.

I got a picture I need to scan

A picture of Les Paws. A siamese. A bad cat, hold his ground against a german sheppard and I saw him stand off two dogs when he could get to a strategic position. But he went missing in the Shenandoah Valley. long time ago

Also I need to scan a picture of Prince Powderpuff the feline formerly known as Princess Powderpuff. We thought he was a female till we got him to the vet. All the while we keep thinking something is wrong with that cat, she just ain't right. Kind of goofy kitten.

She is always scheeming to get me to take a cat.

I think the vets around here see her coming and throw a sick cat out in the road to get her to stop. She blows her money on vet bills.

I could write a million words on cats, be back when I find some pictures.

Thinking about this post.

I told Terri last year I was going to post that drawing of Les Paws that jitterbug did.

I remember her story about the 50 cats.

I miss seeing her around

Dave The Dov has gone missing too.

I miss him too.

Jimboloco says that Dave's bottom line is peace.

A very good bottom line in my opinion

be back with the pics.

I don't suppose you read the funnies but Get Fuzzy is my virtual cat.

ten four on the regards
If she checks out my profile she will notice I reside in stilltruckings sock drawer. "Human sockage is cat beddding" Bucky Cat.

Nothing funny about vet bills.

Situation was dire a couple weeks ago the new orange cat "rusty" got his head gnawled on by something and all we could do was nurse him along. Absolutely no money for vets. All going to doctors for things like brain tumors and such.

Be back with some cat pics if you don't mind.

I wish I had the amygdala of a cat, maybe I do.
Even if I am a cowardly lion.

I knew you and Terri are old friends
