Played like the Blues
Played like the Blues
my heart twists and turns
those words lept off your tongue
so harsh and yet
so smooth, tongue in groove
out of the blue into blues
notes off key, discordant sax
left on the floor, unlove, unlovely
and wonder, o wonder, i wonder
why o why
play another tune baby
blow me away another way
not this, not that, not now
take your tones and stuff it
in my guitar case coffin style
you can play me like a fiddle
harpy i may be, but not today
string me along, snap me to attention
with your bad ass attitude
wrong note, ugly and too long
where o where is my music man?
those words lept off your tongue
so harsh and yet
so smooth, tongue in groove

Thank you Perdida!
Barry...I love the blues, sing the blues and live the blues occasionally. You went to a lot of trouble to answer me and some of it was a bit circular and confusing but okay, it is what it is. I am not sure what Aristotle had to do with it or what you meant but I am just a simple gal and you lost me there.
You left off Stevie Ray Vaughn, the king of Texas Blues and the only guitar player that made Eric Clapton pull off the road to listen in wonder, as he was driving down the hi-way the first time he heard Stevie Ray. There are a few others including our own El Paso Guitar Slim, Pat Chase who can make me cry, downright cleansing stuff. Dwight Yokum can sing some great country blues!
The blues are one of my favorite forms of music...I tend to love almost any form of music for it is the Universal Language, but the blues have a special place in my heart for I have lived the blues and singing (or poet-ing) about it makes the pain go away.
As for hanging on to the blues...I don't even save my poetry anyplace. It is just a stream of consciousness and gone, gone once I get it out. The only posterity is sites like this and I have seen many of my poems bite the dust, as when Litkicks folded their tent, but it don't bother me...moving on...there is more down the stream.
Again, thank you all for your kind replies!

from here http://www.geocities.com/CapeCanaveral/7997/aristot.htmAristotle believed that forms or ideas, such as truth or good, exist in a realm beyond the material world which is Aristotle's most widely known theory.
There is the idea of Tree, which is universal to all trees. And there is the form of each individual tree, which is unique.
Just trying to help.
