I ain't got no live chickens, Jack. I got a top-notch collection of headless roosters though. No, scratch that. I've been thinking of parting them out to the circling winds by tying each of them to a piece of driftwood and throwing them in the lake. My cousin has live chickens. About 30 of them. some of his hens though do their own thinking. Don't roost in the henhouse. Make their nests outside too. His wife goes out in the morning to get the eggs & she has to check under the plum tree & along the side of the shed & out behind the garage. She curses those hens everytime. When they decide to have one of those chickens for dinner it's always one that won't roost in the henhouse. They've just about got all the troublemakers weeded out using this method.
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.

Bob Dylan - Beyond Here Lies Nothin
Three things have been too wonderful for me, Yea, four that I have not known:

The way of an eagle in the air; the way of a serpent upon a rock; the way of a ship in the midst of the sea; and the way of a man with a maid.
Thanks for taking the time to reply mingo
