the first one, top
i can see how you are working your elements of design
and it feels like they are getting stronger
as well as "bettter" composed
now by this i mean that the bolder elements do not clash so strongly and yet they are present

like the visual three dimensional depth which lets me wander into it
with a contemplative attention
very appealing palette and palate too

the second one by contrast is definatively "flatter"
and exudes the fun energetic brilliance of primary coloUrs
with an earth toned softness and a lively composition
which also has visual field depth with black and white
linear and more subtle painterly infusions
above and below the soothing yet dancing colour field
NICE!

the third one is both earthy and beautiful
with your signature boldness of these linear strokes
that call forth native american dream visions with
a marvelous interplay of yellow and blue thst is not muddied
indeed a suppressed scintillation of moodiness and power

magnificent man
your art is manifesting and awesome

keep up the great work, kurt... damn cool... my favorite being "the silence within", but if somebody beat me to it i'd take either of the remaining two... ;)

Love "The Silence Within" (my favorite of the three, something again that you have done that reminds me of Miro)...the detail on that one and "Tension" are amazing.

There is something very earthy about "Tension." Perhaps the colors and those brush strokes that resemble trees. (I see trees.)

The impasto on "Vision Forward" is very bold and although it is my least favorite of the three, I would still proudly hang it in a place of honor.

an artist indeed...

Thanks Sooze I have been looking at Tension very differently the last few days. When I had completed it in my studio I looked at it and felt the tension of those lineal forms against the fluid back drop...then I got it home and I too started seeing trees....so I have renamed it Forest Interior...

ahhh yes, the Tension is gone, replaced by a Forest Interior...kewl!

I am beginning to like it the bestest of the restus. It could hang out in the Far Outhouse in Ruidoso. Then I would have a Forest Exterior and a Forest Interior. Surrounded by trees, how neat would that be?

Maybe you barter? or Trade? Or could give me an idea of what you want for it?

I liked "Forest Interior" Kurt. I know places like that in the woods.
This is not to slight the other two, It's just that the appeal to me of the first one was not to be overcome by the others.

Righteous.
Doll, you may have found a place of rest but I'm still on the trail.
