Sunday Stream (220) ~ Preachin', Teachin' and Reachin'

Preachin', Teachin' and Reachin'
Do you, brothers and sisters, know who your Lord in God is on this Earth and beyond? I am here to tell you that it is no other than Jesus H. Christ and he is not on a crutch! No siree! Jesus is the MAN who will lead you and your evil ways outta the darkness and into the Light, that eternal Light that shines with such brilliance that even shadows dry up and dissipate into the cosmic ethers. You will either accept Jesus as your God on Earth or you will forever be condemned to the unholiest of all places ever conceived, that place whose ruler in charge, Beezlebub, will make damn sure you will never in one hundred million years see the Light of Lights shine upon your sinful soul.

It's never too late, brothers and sisters, to accept your Lord Jesus H. Christ, as your idol and only choice of idolatry if you indeed FEAR the ungodly alternative that only YOU yourself can do. Do not hesitate a moment longer if you still contain the evils of doubt in your sinful mind... DO IT now, and do it in LOVE, brothers and sisters... if you want the redemption of your evil fucking ways, make your bed on the sheets of the Bible, both Old Testaments and New and you will awaken to a brand NEW YOU! Your rebirth will be embraced tightly in the warm and cuddly teddy bear arms of YOUR SAVIOUR!!

[... pause.. take a deep breath... let it out.... whew!]

Those televangelists are quite possibly the best drama queens on television today. Although I cannot sit through an entire episode I find myself fortunate to be able to casually click the remote to another more fulfilling channel, but I still find myself rather amused as I see those characters hold their arms up high and raise their voices while they preach and preach and preach like it was the final voice of GOD himself inside them letting the flock know that who they are following is TRUTH itself and it's the REAL thing! Only a GOD that would trust without error would give HIS word thru the voice box of the devout and meaningful televangelist. Place you money in the basket that is now being passed from your brothers and sisters sitting right next to you... and be generous as Jesus is with HIS LOVE! Every penny you give will go to a louder and more charismatic preaching next week, just you BELIEVE!!

Even the poor will cough up their much needed money to pay for this style of entertainment and do so without care. If their preacher's words will reserve a place in Heaven, preferably on the right hand of their GOD, than doing without a meal or shortchanging their kid from a badly needed pair of shoes, so be it. GOD speaks thru their preacher and to believe otherwise might... just might, peril the afterlife of this fantasy of a life everlasting in the arms of their SAVIOR and LORD.

Who knows? Who amongst us really know? There are many who have had NDE (Near Death Experience), but 'near death, is hardly complete death... 'near death' brushes up on death, in many cases going down a long and dark tunnel with a very bright light in the distance... a place that offers peace and tranquility... a place not to be missed. Those that have had NDE do return from them and have a different frame of consciousness... a way of seeing, that they themselves report, is an assurance that there is a life after bodily death and it transcends religious diatribe but does include a sense of spirituality that they themselves are spirit and that spirit does not die as the body does.

Who knows? Who can be assured what has happened to them will happen to everyone else after bodily death?

We spend an inordinate amount of talk, writing, thinking about what we have heard, what we have seen, what we have read and what we desire and hope for. We are good at those things. We create on many, many levels our own world within the world we all inhabit, some moreso involved in their own world to the total exclusion of 'our world' ... the collective area that we all share, but those are few in relation to 'the rest of us,' the majority or norm.

But this world is so small, so very tiny, a mote in relation to the entire universe both seen and unknown, that our world is meaningless to anything beyond it. We're so remote from anything in the cosmos that may share our earthly environs that it's akin to being a Robinson Crusoe, isolated on this singular island in space waiting for a ship to bring us back to our home.

'Our home'... we create our home on earth to reflect ourselves. It's not always intentional, but the evidence of who we are has multiple clues in our home. No two homes are alike as no two beings are alike. It's the natural thing upon Earth, our home. But yet, we look for ways to know more about not only our home, but where life might be outside our window... peering into the heavens with large telescopes in a search, not only for simply the desire to see what is out there, but there has to be a curiosity about knowing if there's another 'us' out there searching as we are.

Brothers and Sisters... heed the call for the unknown that lies beyond our vision for we will, indeed, one day in our search find our LORD and Savior out there in the heavens, with arms outreaching ready and willing to embrace us all, all that BELIEVE in the power of IMAGINATION in a BEING such as the incredible, edible HUMAN BEING which can race cars and race into space, which can build skyscrapers to sky rockets that propel us into our solar system effortlessly. EMBRACE our being, brothers and sisters, for the time will arrive before you realize when we will know face-to-face our origins within the galactic stew alive with light and enormous power that continues building, destroying, occupying the infinite space far beyond what we will ever be able to fully realize. Join us now and be sure to leave your good intentions in the basket coming around the corner next to you. BE GENEROUS, brothers and sisters! Each fresh dollar bill will be invested in YOUR FUTURE by yours TRULY! Don't allow the DEVIL to take your hard earned money! No Siree, bob... that lowlife scoundrel will take not only your hard earned money, but will divest you of all dignity and hope for a better tomorrow, waiting you around the next rising of our SUN! TRUST me, brothers and sisters, to take care of your wealth! I can do no harm for I am the voice box of YOUR LORD and Savior here on this lonely island planet far, far away from your GOD. But we, together, with your money will soon be able to coexist, side-by-side in complete and total harmony provided by GOD Hisself, and using me as his channel, will finally achieve the Paradise of Great Promise in the Skies above our Eyes! .... Reach into your pockets, your wallets, your purses NOW, darlin's... $5.00 minimum, please, to save your soul!

Yess!! Praise the LAAAWWDD!! And send us money. Tele-preachers populate a laughable, slapstick soap opera cosmic ghetto, no doubt. Funny(?) how on my Big Trip into the desert in 2001, they kept popping up on my motel TV-screens. A few even seeped into my writing. Damn. That's just wrong.

I had some theories-- mainly the "smallness" of our human world in relation to the stars, even the ageless rock-- and religion as an "equalizer" to help bridge the gap, to help bend down the space-time frame. Something like that. Good one, Cec.

Thx, Mark... wasn't sure I should use smilies and lol's in many parts of this piece. nah! let it ride on it's own.

those televangelists have a way of grabbing the attention span and taking one on a ride, despite the reality. but it is drama, not unlike WWE and the soap operas (novelas in Mexico)... it's all theatrics and mankind is historically drawn to the theater no matter the culture. I believe the U.S. televangelist drama is unique to America. not sure.

I enjoyed reading this aloud, complete with dramatic emphasis here and there. hope someone else will take the opportunity to feel the full impact of it.

mmm... do I have to give you five or twenty pesos? ... you sounded lovely Cecil, más allá I can´t stand shouters and evangelists! (not too much tele-evangelists here: it seems it only was a late eighties early nineties moda but still a lot of shouters!)

'Our home'... we create our home on earth to reflect ourselves.: it´s kind of tender that in the vastness of the cosmos we insist calling some metres of concrete or something like that or something else our home, love that! :D:

also the photo! kind of sulfuric one!

gracias Cecil and saludos!,

muchisima gracias, 'V'... bueno no puede escuchar to the screaming, but sorry you have those 'dramas de dios' in Rosario tambien. pero drama, como yo digo, is popular worldwide, si... dios o diablos, amor o sexo. ;)

¿Curioso? le hace utiliza a un traductor para leer estas "corrientes"?
Yo los encuentro útil para algunos textos español a inglés... como ahorita! :)

ahh... yeah... we still are so greek, no?: commedy and tragedy hand in hand!
online translator? no, I never use on line translator to write or read full s-8 texts, I do selective translation in my mind and from time to time I play with some word I don´t remotely know the meaning searching it in an on-line dictionary: it´s funny, at least for me!!!
