Actually Mingo, I happen to know the basis for Halloween (which has been shortened from the original All Hallows Eve) which was a Celtic celebration signifying the end of summer and a period of abundance.
The holiday also signified the thin barrier between this world and the "other world" where spirits on that night could cross over if care and celebration were not taken. Hence the ghost and goblin factor and scares and pranks.
Of course, like most modern holidays, the real meaning is bastardized to putting on a costume (even that is not always the case) and hauling in as much sugar laden goods as one can carry.
I could go on, but I will spare you about how the Christians hijacked the holiday with one of their own.
Good question about the Constitution...who the heck fire knows?
As for all that fear talk, I agree. Way too much of that. I don't watch the news anymore or hang with fear-mongers, if it can be helped.
Agree about the bacteria too...we need exposure or we will become exposed and hasten our ends.
Someone may already be ruling the Internet or have it hostage. Who knows? Listen to the fear-talkers and you may believe it.
Yeah, why don't suicides in the military get condolences? Why?
Don't count on me to count. I don't. As for words...agree there too!
If a bombing can be good, that moon bombing was probably it.
The weather is changing here, cold and blustery (as Pooh would say) and not too pleasant but the house is warm and Cec makes a mean pot of soup. Just the antidote for what may ail ya. A warm hearth and a pot of soup! Cheers! (I mean that with all the best intentions of the word

)
Freedom's just another word...
