Astoria Bound!!!!

Post by hester_prynne » November 12th, 2009, 11:52 am

Took me a long weekend....going to Astoria today to see Stella's senior play tommorrow night. She's playing the Faery Queen in Midsummer night's dream...can't wait to see it, got cliff notes for the train ride...read that play so long ago I can't remember it! (Don't tell Stella!)
I'm an excited old lady, packin up for a train ride to see her daughter's show!
Wish you all could attend!

Wish I could attend, it's such an excellent play. Stella has a steller part too, to be the Faery Queen. Absorb the magic night hester. You'll arrive home still dancing on tip toes, I believe.

Ahhh, t'was a grand event, Stella was endearing despite the fact that the accoustics in the auditorium sorta sucked up those Shakespeare lines into gibbledy gabble. I figure maybe another dimension was listening to the words. She'll be up next week for Thanksgiving! November is Stella month!
Trainride down to the coast was supurb, fall colors, reddy sky gave everything a nice surreal tint. I watched out the window and went in and out of some very fine trances.
I saw Scootertrash too!!!!! He's doing great!
It was swell all around!

Welcome back Hester darlin'. A train ride in the fall leaves sounds spectacular, too.

glad to hear it was fine and friendly (except for the acoustics). Why whoever builds buildings doesn't make acoustics one of the first priorities is a huge question.

We have new classrooms, high-tech rooms, with such horrible acoustics, but well that's beside the point.

When's Thanksgiving? soon, right? So glad you'll be together.
and thanks for reports of scootertrash's living breathingness.

Ahhh Hes, It seems I have watched (from afar) Stella grow up into a fine young woman and watched her grow wings. And now she is a Faery Queen! So wonderful to see her bloom and grow...and your justified pride in her accomplishments.

Aren't train rides wonderful? I love the rockin' meditative quality when I had the opportunity.

Glad to hear about Scooter, so happy to hear about Stella! Thanks.
