My best time was when I was broke as a teen momma. Washing the laundry in the claw foot tub with Dawn dish soap, and hanging it to dry on the exposed pipes on the ceiling.
I'd get $400 a month, rent was $350. I'd buy a large jug of Carlo Rosi wine. I saved the empty jugs to put spare change in, or buttons.
Damn, life was too good then.
A lot of good memories from the experience.
Reading trashy romance novels with a gf, waiting and waiting,
but drunk on wine. We laughed so much.
Playing cards every night. One big meal fed a crowd.
Writing my first poetry, the critics would rip that shit to shreds now, if I were to ever share it.
One rule being to dance on any of the furniture. I shared the coffee table as a dance floor. $2 from the Salvation Army. Couch for free.
Candles the only true decor and dried picked flowers. I had found cat-tails, dried them and these huge purple lilacs to dry.
I'd return to that.
I'm back to struggling, happily so. Not nearly as bad off, but the same reliable necessities: wine, books, poetry. I just need to get out a deck of cards.

`Do you know, I was so angry, Kitty,' Alice went on...`when I saw all the mischief you had been doing, I was very nearly opening the window, and putting you out into the snow! And you'd have deserved it, you

the demise of madness Geoff Parsons
The demise of madness
What shit of shit, the worse music. Sad Madonna, sad world, people dead from belief in reality instead of the movie that is one’s life. Madness a 22 years old drunken Mexican revolutionary under the spell of Kerouac wears a boiler hat and a plaid shirt and a pair of jeans with a broken fly and has a shell through his ear.
We are at the bar with some Australian girls that were staying at the hostel. They got in and were looking for a place to go to buy food. I offered to show them and we went to the super market and bought some food and a bottle of wine and 4 bottles later we are here at the bar. And madness brings me aside and says
-machucho you have to calm down my man, you are scaring the girls.

— Who Am I?String of Thoughts
I am a field of dreams Narrator,
director of an unoccupied
dress rehearsal of life
after life
before death do us part
of a folded linen tablecloth
not fit for table manners
yet baptized with an array of stains
only purity of life could deliver ala carte.
Qualifications honored
on first come first serve basis
are under scrutiny as ships sail in
and out of harbor awaiting dreams
scattered amongst seaweed role models.
To be or not be traded
as a commodity
in this ever growing stage
preformed on and choreographed
in synchronicity of desired philosophies
rung out and left to dry naturally
as one voice permeates another
in a string of conversation
only few will remember,
and even less will live by.
