She Imagined Herself

Post by Lightning Rod » December 21st, 2009, 7:52 pm

She Imagined Herself

she imagined herself
a daffodil in early winter
in her fancy a golden virgin
she was

she imagined herself, yes
she imagined herself
as god with a hard-on
white as a marble dove

she imagined herself
like light remembers
its reflection as a dream
complete in the dawn

ah, she imagined herself
a snowflake statue pure
rapture in repose with diamonds
easy as a baby's conscience

when she imagined herself
she cried tears of mercury
clear as a cold vodka memory
when she imagined herself

she imagined herself a masterpiece
final in its beauty, seed of museums,
toast of operas, idol of due worships
so she imagined herself

she imagined herself
only slightly vain
the world is her very own pain
while she imagines herself
"These words don't make me a poet, these Eyes make me a poet."

Quite an imagining pageant of many psychic colors.
Looking good in print.

imagination is good as reality some days, the best we can hope for...

she cried tears of mercury
clear as cold vodka memory ...........cool !

I didn't know "clear" could have layers....'til now.....good stuff, clay !
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading
