Glimpses of Time in your eyes

Post by myrna minkoff » January 2nd, 2010, 12:56 am

hey jude
this ones for you

If I stumbled into your heart
and you really care

I have been so selfish
some men are

I need
men are so needy

to see them selves
in a woman's eyes

you eyes are probably gray
just a hunch

Or maybe hazel
I have seen myself there

Or brown
I have been burned in their fire

Blue
I have drowned in their tears

Or kaleidoscope
with diamonds in the sky

I have found true love
and fled so many times

Stay
forgive me my selfishness

For sad luck dame
I could never be your boss man

but I want to be your friend
goodnight

Jack, you're my friend
and it's helped me, find myself,
look outside my own tastes
so I can expand
beyond my measly, write.

O.K. here's the honest truth
I write as if I'm not having any other viewers
this is correspondence between friends
intimate at times
cause I forget there's a wide web.
You're my friend
people should know it.
`Do you know, I was so angry, Kitty,' Alice went on...`when I saw all the mischief you had been doing, I was very nearly opening the window, and putting you out into the snow! And you'd have deserved it, you
little mischievous darling!

What we write on the web has consequences.
So many eyes
Never want to bring you any harm by what I write to you.

Word freak
work kook
as if it was magic
as if words meant something

Yes I write for myself
my own existential strip tease

So close
so close to
breaking free

I always knew I would take this path

Like doreen said that poem was for you
for all my sisters
on studio eight

I don't get around much
in fact I don't post anywhere but here
and sometimes to thistles and marigolds
I am too weird
I lean too heavy on a small circle of acquaintances and cyber friends.
