indifference that scourge

Post by keithalanhamilton » January 3rd, 2010, 11:47 am

the people want peace
hope and pray for it
and yet it does not come to pass ~
tension always there
among the people
conflict kept under oath
waiting for a reason to escalate ~
negotiation and compromise
only the bandage
for those deep wounds
bloodied by hatred
never quite stopping to seep ~
wherefore peace
as the outcome of resolution
becomes only some illusion
like the mask to cover
the underlying indifference ~
indifference that scourge
culturally embedded and fed
spreading its affliction
throughout
about those concerned
as if to become inherent
the byproduct
emergent to conflict’s sway
“It’s hard to negotiate a lasting peace between individuals or groups in conflict, if indifference not peace is the underlying objective among all those concerned.”

Peace

Post by creativesoul » January 3rd, 2010, 1:27 pm

I could not have peace
yet the goverments all over the world
seem to agree
on greed
my son told me
globalization is not an idea mom
it is a reality
resources means power
old hippie mom living in Kauai
escaped the compounds of Nigeria and chille
tourist economy
at least we believe in aloha spirit
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

nicely put...

wherefore peace
as the outcome of resolution
becomes only some illusion
like the mask to cover
the underlying indifference ~

this resolution is the key...
I think it's an individual thing, a
personal acceptance of peace.

then, it will radiate outward.
then, it becomes evident to others,
and then it will spread freely.

as illusions go, they too, must be
accepted on an individual level.
the masks we wear, only serve to
hide us from our fears...

if our faith is in place,
indifference will pass away.
then, peace will have its day,

Peace

Post by creativesoul » January 3rd, 2010, 1:46 pm

I came here
like a refugee
running from my very last husband
who displayed behavior
that changed me forever
war devastates families, countries, cultures, religions
starvation is commonplace in Africa
I want to "fix it" too
what can I really except take an internship in Dubai
work for free for two years
in conflict resolution
anytime! Full of thoughts on this subject
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

peace had cognitively
during lessons lived
subtly overtime
persistently
an intelligently
progressive,
interactive process
experienced mutually
within human
reflective
consciousness

proactive listening
knowing
understanding,
communicating
all forerunners
to the
peace process

but not unyielding indifference

taken to it's root, human thinking took a bad turn a long, long time ago.
and we do not need a balance of negative and positive... we need only
the poitive. It is this far back that we need to go just to begin re-learning
how simple it is to inject positive notions into any situation. After a few more
generations pass, raised within an increasingly positive environment, then,
we may begin again, as infants, being born into a new world... the age of the
human being.

count the negatives that you might express in one day... find a way to
reduce that number by even one, and you've tipped the scale a bit toward
the positive.

we are only failing ourselves otherwise...created or evolved

peace

Walt understood :D
“Seemingly due to feelings of intolerance, indifference tends to set into the psyche, if a person’s expectation for positive change does not occur within the time period they’ve allotted.” ~Keith Alan Hamilton~

people don't see how deeply human emotions are embedded, and
how they covertly dictate nearly all of our everyday actions... add that
in with misconceived understanding of ego, and we end up...here.

I see the indifference, a hundred times a day, everyday. I try to make
a difference where I can. every little bit counts.
