</center>This picture was on this morning's MSNBC website. I couldn't help but notice the look of sadness and confusion in their eyes as they held their right hands over their hearts as if their country was dying. In their minds it surely must appear that way, these same white men who grew up in a predominately white work force, in a white neighborhood... every one in their lives were white and now here we are with a black President, the new leader of the free world. It's not something that's supposed to be, not yet... they are not ready. They were okay with Condi Rice in a powerful political position, but this Barack Hussein Obama...? Too foreign. Hell, he probably was born in Africa or somewhere where their flag doesn't wave.
And the changes going on? Dang it! It's happening too fast and they're having a hard time with it (excellent Poet's Eye today - thx, eLRod!). They'd just as soon overthrow our government than allow these 'radicals' to come in and try to turn things around. They have Sarah Palin on their side... they might have good ol' John McCain right there with them... they're not real sure just yet... and they got a whole bunch of good ol' religious folks on their side.. the side of God, no doubt.
They see their government being turned around in a direction that doesn't look so good to them. What ever happened to their country where white folks weren't running the show? It's not that they're all prejudiced... not in their eyes. They just don't think anyone but their own white elected officials can speak for them. They can't get it thru their heads that anyone not white like them, and as old as them, can understand their needs their government should be giving them. Debt ain't one those things they asked for and they don't want... hell! whose gettin' that money? Not them.
They don't know or they ignore the fact that the last administration robbed the Treasury that was pretty fat when they came in... not to mention hijacking the GOP, the once proud 'Grand Old Party' had selfishly become the 'Greedy Old Party'... but they won't go there, not when they have a young, well-spoken, smart man voted into office as their next President that doesn't look like them and more than likely doesn't eat the same foods or drink the same beer as them... hell! he probably doesn't watch NASCAR or even fish! I can he relate to them? And what's this Obama fella doin' talking trash about our health system... the 'greatest health care system in the world'??? Not that they themselves can afford all the system has unless those same folks are rich and got lot's o' money to keep themselves healthy... No sirree... that black man in our White House is too strange and he just ain't down on their level, talking their language. He's kinda uppity and talks to good. You can't trust people who are smart... they'll take advantage of ya' and clip your wallet before ya know it.
The only change these Tea Party folks know is that jingle-jangle in the bottom of their pocket. Any other change is not a choice to be had. Things gotta stay the same, just like they always been. Why change our country? It's been good enough for them and their family ... it's the same country their parents grew up protectin'... damn it all... it's their country. Don't change a thing. Get that stranger outta their and put one of our own in... somebody that ain't too clever and don't talk down to them... they don't like that.... not one bit.

their all part of a changing face of this country and even this world... a world moving at cyber speed and beyond, making communications faster and more clear with HDTV and Blue Ray. The shadows are disappearing as the truth approaches noon and too many are not ready to come out of the shadows that hid their secrets that made them into what they wanted to be... not what they are.

in fact at the moment I have at home three gourds (mates) of different sizes -two made from calabacitas and the other from quebracho´s wood- and one bombilla.
