untitled

Post by sweetwater » March 4th, 2010, 3:27 pm

how empty time has become
and full of potentiated beginnings
in its emptiness the shadow of an afternoon

how the years accumulate into an epoch of forgetting
and the forgetting allows the same experience
as something new

how convincingly assured I am in all my doubt
to pursue the dusk of evening
as if I wound the hands of time

you're right. there is an upside to forgetting things in the long stream of time. it's certainly not all bad.

I can't stand the whole business of forgetting, but I like this poem and the truths it holds.
