I am a rugged individualist and a deep thinker

...and everything we think of as the vast and infinite universe is actually a small corner under the sofa of the real expanse of reality. Which would be an amazing, if humbling, discovery.

I down loaded that picture to my hard drive so I would not have to "hot link" it. But I could email the website and see if I could find someone to give permission to use it, but it may be public domain.

That picture gives me a shamanistic kind of feeling.
These days I been spending a lot of time in the "shaman's cave" within me.

The shaman's cave I am alluding to is the cave in France where those prehistoric paintings are.

. I been seeking out some darkness in my mind to escape the longing that gnaws at me***. Mingo's cave gallery as close as I can get these days.

I saw a TV show about the cave paintings. The first explorer was a child because the passages were so narrow the Frenchman who discovered it had to lower his son down on a rope to wiggle through the opening. I guess in later times the opening to the cave was excavated to make room for tourists. But the first shamans squeezed through the passage to get to the large cave/womb beyond.

Don't know where I am trying to get with this text box this morning. Sweetwater been writing about hyperreality. It seems to me that we entered hyperreality one million BC. When we became "culture bearers" Which is why women travail. Our big heads and that narrow birth canal. Not unlike the opening to this cave.

When we entered this exo-biological womb of culture we entered the maya the Buddhists talk of I think, oh yes I think, think think,
I think I should drink more

I will never forget that whitebirdsings post about Vela.

this probably makes no sense, I just don't want to go to work, So I sit here and type. About caves and galaxies and the end of the world.

***The longing that gnaws at me like a Sylvia Plath poem about a ghost in a graveyard
