I have been a wannabe Buddhist philosopher since I read J. D. Salinger's short story Teddy
"You love God, don't you?" Nicholson asked, with a little excess of quietness. "Isn't that your forte, so to speak? From what I heard on that tape and from what Al Babcock —"
"Yes, sure, I love Him. But I don't love Him sentimentally. He never said anybody had to love Him sentimentally," Teddy said. "If I were God, I certainly wouldn't want people to love me sentimentally. It's too unreliable."

Best wishes for success with your translation business.
sincerely

I think that might be the title of my next poem. About getting a job. How pointless it is! Unless about rounding up some grub or something like that. Chopping wood, carrying water and all. Invading countries and such. Good stuff. Good to be alive for sure.

That's what I like about Bukowski. His optimism.

Sad to see a man waste away because he does not have a job.

I think that is chiseled in stone somewhere we got to have a job.
Even buk had a job.

some of my dearest friends don't have a job
they are masters of the art of scuffling for a living.

Me I was born to follow

a wage slave

I think pacifists should kick a little more ass.

I'm just speaking in riddles now, on this fine afternoon.

The original post on this thread by mariathomas was a bit of a puzzle to me.

the link in the user profile to a translation service.

second time I saw that link in a new user

the other one was romeo somebody had the same link

I was curious if it is a bot
but I am trying to have more compassion for bots

So I figured I would bite for it
color me a dead cat

I am pretty tired, beat tired, but wired on smoke&diet coke
and I am typing and can't stop

that's my excuse

 welcome maria-t!!! do you translate? to wich language?? translate more buddhists books to Spanish if you have the opportunity, ok?

the taras images are beautiful, the mantras too but following a traditional tibetan buddhist ritual here for me is too much antropological in an odd way, something like to only read the National Geographic ... maybe as an ex-catholic I´m ritual- oversaturated, who knows...! I would prefer the dojo zen if I were more flexible... gracias! :D
