when I was locked up
I had a friend named Donny
we worked together on the same printing press
printed 32 million license plate tags in two years

Donny's hobby was writing lawsuits
he was a jailhouse lawyer.
In his crime career, he was a thief.
Not a petty thief but a thief on the grand scale.
He hijacked trucks.

At any given time he would have fifty or sixty lawsuits pending.
They appointed a $90,000 a year assistant district attorney
just to handle his cases. He sued everybody from the Warden
to the guards to the law library to the county where he was arrested.
In fact he caused McClennon County, (Waco, Tx) to build a new
eight million dollar county jail annex with one of his suits.

Anyway, Donny almost lost his rights to the courts
by filing a "Writ of Hocus Pocus"
It was a wide parody of the legal system
It alleged that he was broken out of prison by an armadillo
(he really did escape from the Texas Prison.)

but the upshot of this is that Donny's private assistant DA
was named Zapalack
but Donny always wrote to him as ZappaDuck

and some guy in his office drew a cartoon of ZappaDuck
a lawyer duck with a briefcase
and it became the DA's persona.

panta

I envy you so, for being multi-lingual

One of my rare regrets about my life is that I haven't been able to master any other languages other than English (and barely that)

But I must say that my two years of Latin studies have been of great value in being able to understand the smattering of languages that I do. (you know, I can say "how much," and "where is the bathroom," and "let's go get a motel," in most languages.

Ooops, I need to work on my Chinese.

clay - thank you, but i really am far from multi-lingual (there's my mother tongue and i am doing okay in english, and then there are a few other languages that i'd love to speak but cannot, and that's about it... as for the latin, there are merely a few leftovers from my school days still existing in my mind...).

judih - who or what is (a) waco?
a whacko sico?

whacko is a sicko
but
waco was a place of a few happenings

the one i knew before l-rod's friend and the jail connection
was the fortification surrounding the cult of (who were they?)
adults and kids, that the US gov't decided to shoot out into the open.

It was a mess.
there must be an old news link somewhere.

here's something: (and it's referred to as the Waco siege)

I am really sick Yep I am sick of G-d, I am sick of mysticism, and tarot cards, and crosses, sick of astrology , and holylands
sick of maggot eaten rats in the basement
sick of drive by shootings
sick of drunk drivers
sick of women haters
and men haters
and child abusers
animal abusers
self abusers
sick of being sick

and war profiteers
and sick of myself

BUT
I am not sick of life.

I feel like I am in a Pepsi commercial
Geoff write it all down now while you still know everything.
