The first of this year, Jan. 01, I posted what I felt (and still do feel) is about as clear an explanation to what is going on in society today, with all its turmoil and rabid conflicts such as our own political madness between the Democrat/Progressive side and Republican/Conservative (Tea Party) side.

The article, Astrological Happenings, is titled Times They Are Changing, which is very obvious to anyone that has been observant to the world stage with so many shifts going on. It's no mystery that the U.S. politically is going thru historical changes, especially with the TeaParty and add to that the current mess of billions of dollars (before it's over) being used to buy the votes to quite literally overthrow our elected government.

The author, Maurice Fernandez, wrote: "In normal circumstances, some people go through changes while others continue their routine. Here the alignment is so strong and dramatic that everyone’s life can be considerably affected… it is likely that your life will not be the same by fall 2010!" When I see what is going on with our politics, this statement sounds like it's certainly going to be, indeed, times that will bring tremendous changes to however the votes do declare, with the opposing side very likely not taking the voter's choice lightly.

Some other pertinent quotes:

"Everything is shaking up… everything…from November 2009 until August 2010, nothing will stay still."

"Scandals will continue to hit the news…Natural events will continue to shake the earth."

"Similarly, the economy is not likely to stabilize any time soon…but perhaps, necessarily so. And so it will be with many other aspects of your life...you will not have immediate answers."

"We blame the governments and project our frustration on distant 'evils,' but fail to open our hearts ourselves."

Also, another important date to remember, as listed in the article, is coming up very shortly, I'm speaking of : November 1 to December 26, 2010. Let's not forget in the U.S. the Nov. 2nd election which is an amazing close call as I write this, with many important seats. With the fortunes being spent largely by the Republicans, it becomes very important to refuse to listen to the radical rhetoric running rampant from the mouths of what has become a truly frightening GOP.

Keep your hearts open and do not be led into the fear and loathing that has become the mantra for those who oppose progress for our country.

The US Empire is about to fall, if it hasn't already. Empires come, empires go. Natural disasters and political debates have been going on since day one.

It's just that now, we not only have instant reporting and instant access to videos and opinion and journalism, but it's all done in sound bytes that come and go so fast it's hard to keep track of.

The human brain wasn't meant to process so much information so fast.

Nothing much has changed, though.... it's just the same people wearing different faces and there's a man behind the curtain running the whole show and he's got zillions of dollars.

Altho, I do initially agree with that statement, I question that singular moment when those changes occur... changes significant enough for an empire to collapse or when and why a political debate concludes with an answer that changes the course of a society. For my way of thinking it is not so much that change happens... that is a given, but when and why a change happens when it does and it's result on history.

Good food for thought. I reckon there's an ongoing debate as to which came first, the sudden growth of the hu'man brain which in turn has an influence of culture or the emergence of culture itself which influences the hu'man brain. Quien sabe? as they say in Bordertown.
