Out there somewhere
The ship once sailed,
The horizon
As far as eyes
Could see, her dear
Father drowned in
Deepest sea far
Out beyond her
Eyes fine sight, but
Sometimes at night,
In darkest dreams,
In bed afloat
On mattress waves,
She thinks she sees
Him still adrift
On water's skin,
Thin arms raised high,
Hands waving, voice
Carried harshly
Upon the wind,
His eyes pearl white
From moon's bright shine,
Then he is gone,
Vanished from sight.
DADDY DROWNED.

What an unexpectedly haunting piece. The painting, is it yours dadio?
Re: DADDY DROWNED.
Thank you, Judih. No, but I cannot remember the artist. I down loaded it last year from Photo Bucket.

Re: DADDY DROWNED.
A look at trying not to believe what must be. Well done.
Re: DADDY DROWNED.
They speak of stages of grief. This is denial, I guess. Thank you, Jim.
