"I got a heart for you."
She stood breathing him in,
looking at him there reaching.
"I got a heart for you."

Thanks, mingo.
It is special. Wish I could print it out and hang it above a window or next to. Cheered me up, was in the kitchen cooking my first turkey, making a huge batch of potatoes, sweet potato casserole, etc., but the kiddos are gone to their Dads and my sister won't be in til laters, nor my friends. It was getting lonesome, you brought me back.
My warm heart to yours, my friend.

The Old Dock was our first boat, just an old pontoon the men fixed up each year coating the deck in black tar, or repainting, new wood, etc. a project worth the happy thrill to take it out on the water, to creep along the lake, to look down in the murky waters.

These pictures are a blessing to me, my Grand's house caught fire a few years ago, at the time before the fire I was caring for them because of their severe Alzheimers, I'd take her up to the sewing room and we'd dig out old pictures like this one and I'd get her mind to exercise memory best I could. Anyway, one day I brought a stack of these photos home to scan off, before I'd returned them, the sewing room caught fire and everything in it destroyed and gone.

Was a little blessing I'd had a stack of these photos and I can share with you the Old Dock.

Thx, Annie B. Guy up on the Salmon River reservoir got a boat like this. I saw him quite a bit last summer. He's a fellow 'Nam vet, we got to talkin' now and again. He spent most of his tour on PBY boats. He got a dose of the Agent Orange and he had the shakes. Been fightin' the gov't and the VA for years over it all. We agreed they's all motherless bastards because they know what's right but they don't wanna do it. He asked me a bunch of questions 'bout my kayak one day. I offered to let him take it for a paddle but he declined sayin' he didn't think he could do it without shaking right outta the boat. He said he'd take me on his next year. I'm lookin' forward to it.
Thx for lettin' me see the pic.

Walking in sunshine.
mingo, I forgot I had posted, but deleted, I didn't mean to leave it all alone like that. Thanks for cruising with me on this one.

In a car, on a train, in a boat, where we dream
here or there, then anywhere.

Trying to start healthy this a.m., only slept maybe 3 hours, but they felt awake to me.

Sometimes I get a great notion to
say Good Morning Irene Good Morning

ducks and clucks
marines and mucks
cruizing or floating
or fly to the touch the face of
god.

I don't know who is tripping more
I read that sky is beige
and taste likes razzberries. :P
who is that colon and P
such ruby red lips.

Mingo, I won't let ya miss it if I'm inclined to go there, ya know
this is all so private, but I find a way to make it for 'script' or moving picture
if my friends got a ticket to ride. I don't know what I'm saying. Take what ya make from it.

Jack, if I go to pretend an innocence, I might reveal something in it still
my cat is a lap cat, the cat just goes on purring.

Darlin' with a secret and he
wasn't about to forget it
wasn't there anything privately timed...
that damn clock is brutal to me
totally abusing lately,
it's all too feverish.

I go to sleep with it.
I wake with it.
That clock ticks me off
I want to grab it's shirt sleeves
to be pressed, to get dressed
and this pent up, pent up.

First time is gonna be savage, looks up.

on the clock my day drags
off the clock is when I get things done

sing me another verse if you please
AIN'T IT THE TRUTH?
Harold Arlen (m) E Y "Yip" Harburg (l) 1941

as rec by Lena Horne 1957

Life is short brother,
Ain't it the truth?
And there is no other,
Ain't it the truth?
If you don't love livin' you is slightly uncouth,
Ain't it the dignified truth?

Somedays I manage to piss the clock off pretty much. I'm glad for those days.

Thanks for getting me to smile. I think this is my favorite one, for totally greedy reasons, of course. :P

Ha! Ha! I know I'm difficult to cook for,
my appetite being what it is,
but I try to get ya drunk after-words so you won't remember the challenge
and my greediness. :P
Hoping you'll only say how sweet I am.
ppp <-- razzing ya
