Ancient Rock Stars

Post by saw » January 20th, 2011, 2:36 pm

why does the humpbacked flutist play
so intensely for me, oh Hopi pied piper
wandering dreamcatcher, alive
in spectral dimensions, I've seen them
ghouls jamming with gods, the art
of all aboriginals, I've heard the music
of Kokopelli's band, absorbed the angles
of the rattlesnake, the arid choreography
the geography of inner space, the marvel
the courage, to leave the cliffs of safety
live less like bats, more like dancers
on floors of desert flames, oh nomad healers
artists, lyrical story tellers, doctors
of savage souls, I dig your style
thank you for your recordings
the death of empathy is the birth of barbarism

this really excites all my fires
reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---
