rancors - are five meter tall monsters with large teeth and claws and armored skin that can absorb blaster bolts . They originate from the planet of Dathomir. Jabba the Hutt kept one as a pet in a pit beneath his palace courts, dropping victims in to feed it.

Re: rancor
i had one once
stole everything i loved
just sank its teeth into the body
tore away any denial still left
on the bones of loving
i slept
finally
it ate me
and i type this from the belly
of rancor

reason is over rated, as is logic and common sense-i much prefer the passions of a crazy old woman, cats and dogs and jungle foliage- tropic rain-and a defined sense of who brings the stars up at night and the sun up in the morning---

Re: rancor
Typing from the belly of the beast.
I have heard that there are so many nerve endings in the abdomen that it is almost a second brain. I think western scientists call it "the enteric brain" In Japan it has another name sanryo?
Everything i write is pretty much my gut feeling, by writing about anything that comes to my fingers to type i become more aware of what I am thinking down on some basic level beyond the call of vanity.
many times it makes no sense. but other times It is worth the effort.
I was thinking about this poem by saw when I posted that definition..
