what if I only looked
for picasso rays hidden
in the carbon chambers
of entombed love
searched only for
arcane splendor lost
in sorrowful frozen blocks
of stifled ice
packed ever so tightly
in the sawdust dreams
of forgotten explanations,
what if I could only hear
the acoustic armies
schubert, stravinsky
marching with me across
the cobblestones of consciousness
bumpy symphonies
forever broadcast
at frequencies too high
for the linear receptors
of greedy political swine,
what if I could dance
in a navaho healing ceremony
kick multi-colored sand
with bare hardened feet
with the force of generations
the dispossessed ergs compressed
into glowing marbles of redemption
and mini crystal balls would hail down
on the thirsty tongues of the masses
with the thawed comfort
of ancient tribal campfires
what if
