a light opera

Post by mtmynd » February 8th, 2011, 6:05 pm

a light opera

two melodies
coalesced
into one rhapsody,
whose scales ascended
into the night sky...

each note lighting
each star with a kiss
until all were lighted
into one cosmic chandelier
which illuminated
their oneness
with life...

beneath this illumination
their love revealed
in all its naked glory
taking in the passion
thru eyes awakened

by the spark of desire
ultimately lighting the beauty

of the two entwined upon
their bed of golden rapture
adrift upon pale purple
sunset clouds majestically
divining the oneness

surrendering
to the completeness of
creation giving birth to bliss...

thx, walt... i've never seen this video of the late and great Freddy Mercury... and I never knew until now that was his last performance. along with Caballe, this was a tremendous performance. Thank for sharing.

... and thanks, Steve, for noting the connection with V-Day. this is an older piece i wrote many moons ago but has a timeless appeal, imho. i appreciate you stopping in.

and RR, muchas gracias... i appreciate it.
