As near as I can get to the feeling of the uncanny is that vat of boiling sulfuric acid.
Yes don't fuck with that vision.

I don't try to imagine combat anymore. No more marching with toy rifles for me, no more bang bang you are dead fall down and smile games.

I find it childish when men who have never been there gleefully imagine it.

I had led such a charmed life
and my heroes have always been soldiers and poets
it is a beautiful world I was born into to quote
"if you don't mind people dying all the time"

I wish I could unsay it
There are so many books ofwar poetry that need to be wrote.
