writin' piggyback

Post by saw » March 25th, 2011, 6:52 am

I'll never be sane
c'mon, I had two parents
went to catholic school
what chance do I have ?

but even so, writing seems
to keep me relatively calm
as the beasts of my imagination
try to rip my limbs off

with their hairy clawed hands,
and well, sanity is over-rated
and everyone's reality confounds
any kind of definition

so I just walk along, the consummate
zen mailman communing
with the squirrels and my nutty ideas
but nothing I know is like the process

of writing, the ritual of spilling
the coffers of artificial intelligence
that comes to you without invitation
to tap your arm, touch your soul

sometimes it floats like a butterfly
other times it stings like a bee-hemoth,
it is then I happily jump on the monster's
huge shoulders, ride him piggyback

all night long
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

a bee-hemoth,
Leviathan, my friend. No sanity required. :)

no sanity like insanity
