All I know at this point is that Christye, his sister, was taking him to the hospital today. She has my email addresses and ph # and I asked her to keep me posted. When I hear something, I'll let you all know. She said he could barely speak, was having a hard time breathing and couldn't talk over a whisper.

Keep your good thoughts sent his way and I'll report anything I hear. I wanted to talk to him on the phone but he said he couldn't talk because his voice was gone.

Boy oh boy Doreen always knows how to scare the dogshit out of me. I sat here looking at Texas from the second story of the house The Bear built for my baby sister. He used to be a big old friendly Texan before he married my sister.

Just checking in to say I have no news to report. Sorry.

I wrote to his sister and to him asking for an update but haven't heard back from either, yet. On a positive note, I saw one recent post on FB by Lrod. And I don't think he has a laptop to use at the hospital (though I may be wrong). Somehow from seeing that post, my mind thought maybe he's home.

I hope, too, that it's something like what you had, Jack, and is easily curable. I'm sorry to hear you got sick but happy to hear that you got it cleared up!
