Well, such as 186,000 might be a little ambitious of me.
Could be the big picture though
with a slight exaggeration.

big pictures ! that's what i need ! just came from jack's place where he sent me first to rimbaud then on to miller. because of such things i've decided to keep my belly because it's much easier bouncing off of such things with my belly than with my head. my belly takes things better than my head. soon after i was born i bought some land down by the river and i put my head down there and made a drive-in theater out of it. a place where i could drop in anytime after dark to see what was playin don't ya know. it's worked well all these years & it's still workin'.
yes! BIG PICTURES ! yes! i can even zoom in on the smallest of the small and make it 70 feet by 40 feet ina blink of an eye.
hey i'm reading a book i think i'm gonna speak up 'bout to ya but i have to finish it first.
doorbell rang this morning. i was in my kokopelli bathrobe but answered the bell anyway. jehovah's witnesses, two young women, emily & abby. they carried bibles and magazines with a drawing of jesus on the cover. they didn't give me a bible but offered the mag for free. The face of jesus on the magazine didn't look anything like what i imagine lee mellon's face to look when he was throwing big rocks into the frog pond & shouting out "Campbell's Soup" to quiet the frogs.
i read some of the magazine after the women left. stopped when the article i was on referred to jesus as a "spirit creature". Sorry ladies, not on my road. in one of his writings in the new testament the apostle paul wrote, " i know that after i am gone savage wolves will come in to rend the flock." it appears to me that the wolves are still here, & still busy rending.
while out on the 'net this morning i came across a piece about "coping". specifically it was about "coping" with the loss of someone you love. about a third of the way into the piece of a sudden i asked myself what it was i was doing and i got out of that article as fast as i could push the buttons to do so.
ended up lookin at old transistor radios with much interest yet it took awhile for the disturbance to settle down in my old drive-in theater. you know what it was? you don't "cope with" the loss of someone you love. you GRIEVE.
all the bees in my stomach wanted to puke.
ok, Doll, i'm outta here for now. gotta make lunch for work and get out of my kokopelli bathrobe. hey, what about those eco-deco frogs you mentioned. you aroused my curiosity tellin' me about them so how about beddin' it back down?
gone

And it carries me into the evening.
We drift and lift.
I finished the Brautigan novels.
He is pure genius
and witty, such good colors.
I'm in the midst of sharing my puter
until tomorrow against my want to,
but ya know I really don't have such options...
children, the hassle, but I love em.
Thank you for the post card
and joy.
Gonna go start a novel from Lawrence.
Happy Easter to my friends.

wondered what was up with ya - you get missed if you're not around don't ya know ?
the book i told ya about, i finished it. it's called Winter's Bone by Daniel Woodrell. they made a movie out of it last year & i just saw it last week. the movie is how i discovered the book. good movie. good book. good story. the story is uncompromising, hard & human & in your face. Wham. No bullshit. Wham.
went for an honest to God walk in the woods yesterday. Coltsfoot is in bloom. trilliums are in bloom. trees are budded but not in leaf yet. daffodils are saying yellow yellow yellow. the ospreys are in their nest. the ground is wet wet and water is everywhere bubbling & running towards the sea.
got to wash the paint off my hands - i'm baptizing an art panel at the moment. had to go down cellar to find a pint of white primer paint. got a bucket half full of water on the cellar steps for the mice. was down there last week only saw one mouse in that bucket and knew winter had finally come to the end of it. go by it this morning for the paint and got six mice in there. I'll throw them out back later, the crows around here just love my white trash soul.
you're welcome on the postcard.

Re: I am tripping more than you are. Battling razzberries
He needed a new video card for his, which I bought Friday, but I know nothing of how to install one. Today he'll have it fixed up and for now he's silent with dreaming.
Hello! what an Easter. I meant to try out a church today, for the first time in years, but I overslept because I woke very early then went back to sleep for a little while (that turned into a lot of while). My girl child looks beautiful in her Easter dress and all that we bought for this event, even though it's no longer the event. I told her we can still go to the nursing homes to deliver little Easter eggs with candies and cotton candies stuffed within.
You lure the mice in like the pied piper did on his Sunday morning. Bring them in with a pail of water. Nice and easy.
I'm very excited you're painting.
I picture a thing likes that, a painter at his painting. I think of the looks on face, the stern brow or far away thought. Paint on the palm lines.

Re: I am tripping more than you are. Battling razzberries
it ain't like workin' digital at all for sure. digital is all "oo's & ahhs" & antiseptic pixels. i mean yeah it is susceptible to creativity but real paint is messy gooey and liquid and you got water clean up and solvents & rags and brushes and towels and sponges - but its...its... its VISCERAL ya know. bloody. dirty. real teeth gnawing real bone. paint on the palm lines and under the fingernails and splashed across the cheeks and up the arms and on your clothes. It's glorious and riotous and sweet sweet calamity. workin' digital has never caused me to swear, not once. But workin' a canvas or art panel or fiberboard with real paint & o God, Doll, I swear I curse I throw things I get INVOLVED in a way that does not happen with pixels. yes yes there happens the stern brow or the faraway thought of course but also emotions stirred sometimes to a frenzy - fire in the wind! exhilarating and galvanizing. makes ya breathe deep and sometimes quick. digital is like watching pornography - painting is having a living breathing woman in your arms. Two things missing from digital work that you get when you work a canvas or any other surface is 1. the tactile as in the tug of a loaded brush traveling across a surface and 2. scent as in the smell of paint and canvas. don't take me wrong, I have plenty of fun with digital but it's two different worlds. Have a good easter you & yours & i will catch ya later.

Re: I am tripping more than you are. Battling razzberries
I just woke from this dream
we were visiting a town that was spread out along the water and we took a little boat to go to the small shops. All the shops were spread out there, like two or three we'd boat over to then another two or three to go boat to. I saw the reflection of the moon across the dark waters, it was night and there was the shadows mellow across the moon faces glow. The sound of our boat moving in the night and you were saying to me how peaceful it was to travel around a town this way. It reduced the stresses of the road, of the people and rages. Just to be quiet out on the night in a small boat.
It was very nice and relaxing there.

I'll try to send that dream on over for your enjoying it, too, dearest mingo.
So funny about dreams, dreams are the same equal as memory.
I can set us back up in the boat just by returning to it there, just like returning to memory, going back to Monday, going back to Christmas or that shadow up against the wall.
night, night, u.

Tales of a Negro Sheriff ( looking for her )
i listened to it all
saw it all in a flash
you and your elevators where the masquerade ends & revelations begin
and the make-up comes off and there to greet you when the door opens is
a cowboy from texas who has left off watching the horses outside his window to bring you french fries in his ferrari ( i read he has three )
but i imagine you now as a bridge that crosses a huge bay
and me crossing that bridge dabbing the doorposts
and lintels of every house with the names
of miller & nin & bandini in sheep's blood as i pass
i remember the roads way north of that bay
the trees there remember when indians roamed free
the wife i had then is dead now
but still i drive on because if the future
is a dry well where everybody is trapped and
you're feelin' bad because you
got out and they didn't i just couldn't bear your longing or your guilt
to go back and help them get free
i know it's futile - this reach for speed but if i stop now
if i refuse the rest of the road
if I abandon this old car
how much more in time does that make me from
the next coffee ?
the next breakfast ?
the next taco bell ?
there would just be the wind and me out there then
the wind they call mariah
her and her songs glowing in my ears
like fire seen through smoke
songs of sweet jesus
son of sweet mary
God's little dairy queen

It seems to me it should still be morning, Doll, but it's afternoon I think. Hell, it's almost evening. I don't know what happened to my day or where it went. My tellin' bone has been humming since I got up this morning. Damn thing is exasperating. When I want it & need it and actually have a use for it it's nowhere to be found. Then, completely uninvited, it plants itself in the middle of my brain humming it's sweet head off. I can't stand it sometimes, my life that is. Don't matter though because there is never a choice. O sure, there is more than enough flattery to go around but I've always been wary of it exactly for that very reason. Excessive, ya know. Recessive abundance maybe ? Maybe I should pray for a radio-free brain. Miss you.
