the morning after the twelfth night

Post by saw » May 18th, 2011, 5:10 pm

I was safe enough
in my little glass menagerie
free to sit in the dark
sipping something
stronger than pekoe

free
to linger on Malvolio's
wonderfullest trick of all
his desire to escape
his wooden prison without
removing a single nail

how he knew somehow
whatever hand life dealt him
he could trump it for his own
purposes, and for me tonight
here in the dark I'm thinking similar thoughts,
it's just that damn sun coming up....

that frightens me.
If you do not change your direction
you may end up where you are heading

thanx judih old pal...I can always count on your comments to be thoughtful...

I have a love/hate relationship with the night....why is it that torment always comes calling in the evening....it's strange......perhaps misery loves company as they say, and the sun has the same impact on It as it does on vampires.....

but some nights it's all good, and I don't want the night to go away....as if, if it just stays dark from now on, all will be well hiding in the shadows

of course both positions are absurd......but such is the night........thanx again
